Every 1 Matters!

Saturday October 21st Wicked Awesome Wishes teamed up with a group of Lady Jane's stylists and volunteers at the Tent City Event in Toledo to provide haircuts for the less fortunate population of Toledo.

Tent City is an annual event held at the Civic Center Mall in Toledo that lives up to its name with an assortment of large tents sprawled across the parking lot each providing a different service. Among them: hot meals, medical and social services, winter clothing, and finally, haircuts. This year's event had over 300 volunteers to help out over 1000 individuals who are either homeless or struggling to maintain autonomy.

Lady Jane's and WAW were able to not only provide a $1000 donation, but bring in 3 talented hairstylists who joined 2 other volunteers in the haircutting tent. With this team, we were able to provide 116 haircuts during the day on Saturday, which made for a new record in the 30 year history of Tent City! We were happy to be a part of such a great event and looking forward to coming back next year.
