Our Mission

At Wicked Awesome Wishes, our goal is simple: to give assistance directly to those in need.

At Wicked Awesome Wishes, there will be no red tape, no handling fees, no processing fees. All the funds we raise go directly to people who need them.

Wicked Awesome Wishes was founded on the premise of helping children and families in need who have fallen on hard times financially, are suffering from a life altering disease and unable to make ends meet in their normal daily life.

Wicked Awesome Wishes seeks out those in our communities who are fighting every day and just need a little support to get through life. We create once in a lifetime experiences, help pay expenses of those who face unthinkable challenges in life and health, allow those in need to accomplish things they would not normally be able to afford, and spread happiness, joy and hope to children and families in need.

Our History

Founded in 2013, Wicked Awesome Wishes is a WAW is a Michigan-based charitable project that has the ability to accept tax-deductible contributions. The foundation is the brainchild of Chad Johnson, CEO of Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men.

As the Lady Jane's salon network expanded across 21 states, Johnson learned more about the communities his businesses operated in and knew he had a higher purpose: to give back in each of the communities his barbershops serve.

Now, with over 100 Lady Jane's locations across the United States, our opportunity to give back is greater than ever. We're proud to have trusted volunteers on the ground in every community we serve. We wholeheartedly believe charity is meant to help those in need promptly and directly, so there's no middle men, no red tape - just well-intentioned volunteers who love to help deserving people in whatever way they can, whether it's paying for a struggling student's college, supporting our veterans, or supporting a single mother through the holidays.

A Special Night for a Special Family

In November, we had the honor of celebrating the Cunningham family. They recently experienced a heartbreaking loss when their husband and father, Peter, passed away after a long illness at just 49 years old. He leaves behind his wife Chelsea and their five wonderful children. With Peter being the family’s sole provider, the year has brought both emotional pain and financial stress. Wicked Awesome Wishes assisted with financial support to the 2025 Icon of Hope Gala. Icon of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Children's Hospital of Michigan. Together the mission is to advance the research and care provided to pediatric patients through philanthropy. The partnership with Icon of Hope strives to bring hope and healing to children and their families, making a lasting impact on the community.

"Girl Dinner" - For Domestic Abuse

This October some of our amazing women from Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men in Clarkston and our Wicked Awesome Wishes team joined together to support the "Girl Dinner." With October being domestic violence awareness month, the benefit dinner supported the vital and life saving work that the LACASA Center does in the Livingston County area. A Night to Remember: Strike for Literacy with the St. Brown Foundation
