Cancer Fighter Nicholas, Football Teammates Treated to a Pizza Party

Nicholas Ureel was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2012 during his junior year at Chippewa Valley High School. For the past year, he has undergone numerous operations, treatment plans, and hospital stays. On Monday, November 11 2013, Nicholas’ battle against cancer will continue as he begins yet another treatment plan. It has been a tough battle so far, and Nicholas has a very long road ahead.

Nicholas, a Clinton Township resident, remains on the sidelines during the Chippewa football games. His senior year is not turning out as he imagined, but he feels stronger knowing that his “football family” is behind him at all times. As a kind of “rally” before Nick begins fighting again on Monday, Chad Johnson, founder of Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men and Wicked Awesome Wishes stepped up to give Nick an afternoon he’ll never forget!

Although the Detroit Lions were away playing Chicago, Chad coordinated a party at Happy’s Pub in Bloomfield Hills (7170 Orchard Lake Rd) for Nick and his entire football family (over 75 people)! What a way to surround Nick with so many people that care so much about him! To top it off, the Lions came back home with a big Win!!

Nick and his family are in our thoughts and prayers as they embark on this difficult time.
